Posting here as many of you don't go to the general forum.

Having real trouble with tracking on a Kity 613, blade won't stay in one place and runs off the wheel. Looking for someone who can help?

Have you checked that theres no build up of resin/dust on the wheels from the previous Oak cuts, scrape off if there is?
Have you tried another blade.
Does this machine take a 1/8" blade as some won't,on saying that i have run a 1/8" on my BS350.

It states the minimum as 1/4" but I've read of people using 1/8". As a side note, I understand why bigger blades don't work (tension etc.) but why a limit on small blades?

It was fine with the 3/8" that I removed yesterday, if I get nowhere I'll try reinstalling that.

Checked the tyres, they are clean and reasonably good condition.

When I had a Kity 613 I found that once I had set the wheel angle, I never really had to alter it. When I changed blades, I just adjusted the tension until the blade was running on the edge of the top wheel. Overtensioning would result in the problem you have found with the blade running off the wheel and the adjustment becoming impossible.

Just posted in the other thread. Got it to work but the small blade cannot run on the edge like the bigger blades can. The tracking doesn't seem able to correct the blade sliding off the edge but can hold it steady once I get it in the right place. Trouble now is I need to fit a bigger blade again soon to resaw some logs!

Hi there, I have just bought Kity 613 from the lovely Ebay, and I am experiencing the same issue as you, It arrived to me very badly setup,( I think the previous owner didn't have the manual), so the blade was in the centre of the wheel, the guides were all worn, etc. I setup it all up correctly, made new huides, fitted a 1/4" blade and it was running sweet for a bit, but I inadvertently hit a nail I hadn't noticed in a piece of old stock, which threw the blade of off the wheel, and now I just can't get it to stay on the wheel, as soon as I get near tension, it throws it off. How did you remedy this on yours?

Many thanks Kris
