Anyone remember them? I just saw one on the ***** box and it reminded me of the one my Parents had. IIRC my Dad bought it at Harrods and when it was delivered the guy came and gave us a demo. I remember seeing the guy suck up bed bugs from the bed and my Mum being horrified. It served us well, finally conking out in the late 90's, I think.

A quick google doesn't bring up a website, so I assume their gone? Not that I'm in the market for one just interested.

Are they under £1,000 yet? I had a couple of salesmen try to sell me one about 13 years ago. I let them clean the living room and then showed them the door when they talked about the price.

I remember my dad had one about 20 years ago and it's still going I think. Remember seeing it when he first got it and it was lifting the carpet up the suck was so powerful.

In the 90's I rented a room in a house inhabited by other young lads. On one friday we were all going out for the requisite too much beer, our landlord had had a really bad week and was looking forward to drowning his sorrows. Unfortunately for him one of the lads had booked him an appointment with the Kirby vacuum cleaner girl. She was in the house for over an hour and a half and had given him the really hard sell, he had her manager on the phone as well! He was saved by the bell when the double glazing salesman turned up for his 9.30pm appointment (booked by one of the others) who embarrassingly arrived at the same time as the guy from a national kitchen company. He missed the fun in the pub but just got out in time for a quick dance.
