15 minutes preparation, 15 minutes cooking.

The main ingredients.

devided four ways.

two tablespoons of Olive oil and this flavouring, or use what you like.
plus a tablespoon of demerara sugur sprinked over kebabs together with seasoning of your choice, but do them over a very large sheet of tin foil because you want to save all the juices that spill out whilst cooking and turning.

We used Tilda rice today, serve and then pour over the juices off of the tinfoil.

Followed by pancakes.

AROMAT!!! I thought that had disappeared when I was a child. I used to steal that at home in sneaky sprinkles on my hand when I was wee.

DW, I haven't been ignoring your recipe posts, I've been sick. Went down last Friday and kinda surfaced today. Been a cheap week food wise - one half Weetabix today. I'm absolutely stuffed!

sorry to hear that brendan - was it related to the beef meringue recipe from the week before

Nope - but if some soul tries tonights recipe - they might be ill, by the look of it.

DW - that's got to be the blandest looking thing passing as a kebab - it should be arrested under some sort of trades & descriptions act.

LOL, BSM no problems with the beef meringue - it was Karma for not being sympathetic enough to my wife's little cough, well, that's what my wife says.

When I am more interested in cooking I'll share a few favs that are easy but tasty.

it must be a very dry meal.

thats where the ten plus pints of lager come in...

Yeah then the Domestos and thick rubber gloves for cleaning the bog in the morning comes in handy.

when i was young and foolish enough to eat these things and drink like that, i always made a point of blowing chunks behind the privet hedge at the top of the road before going home - this avoided any such bog cleaning.

If anyone reading this lived at the top of helmsdale close crewe in 1993 I confess and apologise for the frequent mess on your front lawn

Thanks chaps for all the compliments. :)

Simple food is my way of living these days.

BTW, we needed those mushrooms so I popped down the road to one of those new Tesco express type shops and they wanted £1.76 for a 250 gr.box.

So walked out and went to the greengrocer six shops away and paid 32p. They are building a Sainbury express type shop the other side of this greengrocer.

So there goes another small retailer and up goes the housekeeping costs again in the near future I suppose.

£1.44 extra bugger me.

Save yourself the bother and get a bit of old rubber. Got the same taste and texture as mushrooms and never wears out!

Steve - hater of mushrooms

You ought to try shiitake mushrooms they are lovely :)
