Just popped in with a few questions

Hi all, I'm a painter by trade but need a few woodworking questions answered if you wouldn't mind.

Ive got a planer and block plane but I need a plane to get into rebates easing windows and doors. The selection at Axminster is large... do I need a rebate plane or perhaps a bullnose or shoulder plane?
I use chisels but only for cutting out rot in exterior woodwork before doing resin repairs. Would a firmer chisel be perfect, or perhaps even framing chisels bearing in mind I'll hit hidden nails etc?
I've got various Systainers (Festool sanders) so I'm thinking the SysMFT would be a small handy workbench.
Can you recommend some clamps - are the cheapest Festool clamps suitable or would you go for others for the SysMFT? I'd be cutting smallish bits of trim, not ripping sheets.

Hi there,

As far as a plane for door or window rebates goes, I'd personally go for a block rebate plane, reasons being that they're wider than most shoulder planes so they're easier to use on larger rebates, also they tend to be more comfortable, especially when used one handed. I would get a bullnose plane too though, to get right into corners.
