Its a honing guide but what for ?

Looks like it only holds around 5mm deep and 20mm wide of blade . I found it today while giving the workshop a going over . It has me stumped :-k

It's for sharpening the disposable blades that the Paramo rebate plane uses!

still it makes a nice addition to my newley built tool cabinet

Im waiting for my legacy upgrade before i finish the frontage as ill be able to make some nice curved mouldings with it .

Like Philly said, I think that's just the ticket for spokeshave blades...and thanks for the picture of your cabinet! I wish I had that much room...

there are always loads of Paramo planes at the boot sales, let me know if you want one, they seem to be around £1 to £10 asking price.
