Free to a Good Home - Large mahogany wardrobe with double doors and large bottom drawer. Overall size 1140mm 45inches wide x 585mm 23inches deep x 2130mm 84inches high.
lovely book matched veneers to doors, could be used as is but if I had more workshop storage space I would repurpose the mahogany and use it to make smaller items. It's a shame but realistically dark furniture is not of saleable interest. Asking for £50 but happy to consider any offers to take it away and give it a new home or purpose. Collection only Romsey, Hampshire.

I read this with mixed feelings!! peterw3035 - you are a very kind person to offer this - Jameshow - you are very lucky! How is it that beautiful old furniture is not worth anything in the modern world? Wonderful veneer, produced from valuable timber that is under serious threat and it has no value today?? The world has gone mad!

Shedman,
Absolutely agree. Treated with respect this furniture will outlast all of the IKEA like stuff and it is repairable, which is as green as it gets.

Sorry parents say it's too big to pick up and I'm not down till Christmas so going to have to pass sorry. 😢
It's a nice bit of furniture...❤️

OK @Jameshow I fully understand, we've decided that it will now go & take its chances at a local antique auction house. Hopefully, it'll go to someone with a large period property or hotel ??? Dark timber furniture is not in vogue and larger pieces like this just don't fit on our modern homes. We've just cleared my mother in laws home and there was another 1950's wardrobe that we were going to keep but it wouldn't fit up our stairs!!! I'll let you all know how it goes.
