Well, although my wife keeps accusing me of repeating myself, I'm going to
say it again. In the photo the thread really did look too coarse to be metric.
But, if it fits, then all is good...

Always worth showing the head. In this case pretty sure it was a dual, slotted and cross. This pretty much guarantees its metric. As would the identity of the machine. If its a modern Chinese job, then its almost certainly going to be metric.
