Interesting suggestion, but I don't think the village carpenter/wheelwright from my childhood would entirely agree. He worked very closely with the local blacksmith making/tyring waggon wheels, and repairing farm equipment, which often involved adding metal braces here and there. OK, Larney the smith wouldn't actually be IN Arthur's workshop, but his products definitely would.
 
My hobby is playing with tools and woodwork is just something else to do with my tools :lol:
 
I dont mind metal work my dad is an engineer ( a real old school one) by trade when i was younger i didnt take to wood work that much. until i tried it then i loved it far cleaner too.

Also choppers are a bad sign an 80s army offroader is a good sign haha
 
The task you carry out once in order to ensure that a repetitive task can be carried out efficiently in future is never time wasted. You didn't get anything else done on that one day but every day from now on you will produce more because of it.

If you can say that, it's a good job well done, isn't it? :)
