looks like a dust trap to me.

Is this a gloat Rog??

LOL...no way, I'm not that sad.

Dust trap? Interesting you should say this. Currently my planes are in drawers underneath the workbench and not that accessible so I've been looking at alternative storage and ease of access. Doors might keep out the dust but get in the way constantly when trying to work.

It looks more like a laboratory than a workshop! That big display shelf also would seem to prevent any work happening on the worktop below........or is that the point?

Glad to see he doesn't have any wooden planes - looks like the path is all clear....
Philly :D

Time for an eye test then Philly. The plane right at the far end is an old wooden bodied jointer...

The tormek is very nice, but the jigs all hanging up in their individual boxes is just a little OCD for me. I start to wonder if there is a big freezer somewhere full of the people who put a drink down without a coaster...

Strangely enough i find nothing wrong with that?
Don't be alarmed, though. We don't have a freezer ;-)

Hi,

This is where to store your planes, on the kitchen floor

Looks like a transitional to me; so sort of half-and-half? :D

Nothing in the wide world will get me putting all my planes and spokeshaves in one place any more. It'd take too long for one thing. Couple (at least) Preston shaves there, Pete? Lucky man.

Cheers, Alf

Hi, Alf

3 Prestons :D very nice shaves but not as good as the wooden ones.

I have sold quite a few planes and spoke shaves since the photo was taken, I must have less than 100 now and I use them all, well thats what I tell the wife.

Pete
