If I put a copper nails into a fir tree will it cause it death?

Havent got any nails but would the earth wire do the same from copper electric cable?

if you can get the copper wire in there, then probably yes. Copper nails is not a gaurenteed way, but from experience does usually work very well.

I hammered copper nails into a sycamore tree to test this theory many years ago. The damn thing just grew faster, I'd swear it. I can't think of any reason why it should work, in fact.
