Imbuya

I am currently in Christmas present mode, and would like to make a pestle and mortar.

I have a nice Imbuya blank bought at Harrogate. I have never come across Imbuya and would like to know how suitable it would be for this purpose. ie. density, toxicity etc.

Its a nice timber but will soon be in short supply it is now on the list of timbers that are protected and no longer imported so I have been told
