I want a free winzip

Can anyone please tell me where to go to get a free WinZip without any ties?

I use 7Zip and it works quite nicely. It's really free, too.

I've been using WinRAR for 12yrs+ and the trial has never expired. Installed on countless machines.

I have no idea if it's the best. It unzips and unrars, which is all I need.

You can direct 7-Zip to unzip your ZIP files to anywhere you please. I think it is the same for WINRAR

That may be, but current copies only have a trial period before the "Pay or remove" notice appears.

Yeah, I thought this was happening re charge, it used to be free before Corel got hold of the rights.

I will have a look through my old magazine cds and see if there is a copy laying about anywhere.
