How To Add An Avatar

I have a nice little piccie I would like to add, but the big question is : how ?. My computer is an Apple Mac, so please try to keep it simple, as I'm nearly computer "iliterate".

Go look in your profile at the top of the page.

then paste the url in the box marked "link to off site avatar"

If I knew what you're talking about, I would. At present, the picture is in my iPhoto's, so how I get it out, is anybodies guess

You need to get your picture on to a web server so it can be accessed by everyone. You may have web space from your ISP as part of your service or you can use somewhere like photo bucket. Then you put the link to you image into your profile, link at the top of the page to get to the profile.
