How much is fuel in your neck of the woods?

Here in Gloucester petrol is down to £1.03 a litre at the local Esso. It's probably cheaper at a supermarket but I'd use more getting there than I'd save .

Here in Normandy it is €1.06 for diesel which converts out at 82p a litre. Petrol (95) is €1.24 which converts out at 96p a litre. Diesel did go down to €1.02 but has risen a bit despite the continuing fall in oil prices.

Here its just dropped last week to 1.99 Lev a litre for diesel which works out to 79p a litre. =D>

Here in Switzerland it's just recently dropped to CHF1.50/litre - that's roughly £1.00. It had been about CHF 1.60 for a while now (in both cases I'm referring to 95 octane, the 98 octane is a bit more expensive). Diesel is now (and always has been) more expensive than petrol, currently it's about CHF 1.62, with the "green bio" diesel being dearer still.

Here in Florida unleaded is $US 2.03 per US gall. US gall = 3.8 litres ie 53 cents/lit.

€1.26-1.27 for diesel here, maybe 1.30+ for gasoline, diesel's cheaper in Finland due to the way it's taxed, but in the end it's all the same.

Edit: 1.26 = 96p so maybe a few pence more for gasoline.

Indeed, though presumably, as fuel duty and VAT is around 75% of the cost of fuel, and there's been a 20% reduction in fuel prices, there will be a large shortfall in the amount of expected tax (which raised £26bn in 2012/13)... someone may have to put taxes up in May

www.petrolprices.com is a good site to sign up to. I get a weekly e-mail telling me where the cheapest fuel is within 5 miles of my postcode.
Cheapest diesel is currently 110.7p. Cheapest petrol is 103.7p.

My last post on this subject was 15th Jan - now, just 7 days later the exchange rate Swiss Franc (CHF) v the £ has dropped to approx. 1.30 and driving past the local garage today I saw that petrol prices have dropped another 3 cents to CHF 1.47/Litre, unleaded 95.

3 cents is not much of a big deal, but with the new devalued £/re-valued CHF it would be if I was paying in £s!

Now dropped from CHF 1.47/litre last week to CHF 1.41/litre yesterday, both 95 Oct unleaded. As present ER that's just a tadge over £1/litre (rate currently 1.39 & a little bit).

At least they do seem to be dropping pump prices here as the bench mark Bench Crude price drops. Makes a change!

Petrol £1.13 p/lt here, I don’t expect it to drop as low as other parts of the country, because give it a couple of months or so, and then the price will rise to catch the tourist market. :evil:

FWIW here in NZ, where I am still on holiday, 91 octane is about NZ$ 1.71 per litre and diesel NZ$1.07 per litre. These equate to roughly £0.83 a litre for 91 octane and £0.52 a litre for diesel. With various supermarket vouchers you can save about another 3p a litre. So motoring is fairly cheap compared with the UK but it costs a lot to get here and enjoy the benefit!
