Steve, I just made this pattern from your photo, but obviously it's only in case the original doesn't turn up.

Martin.

Hi Steve would it be appropriate to ask how much you charged?.I think that is a difficult to put a price on a project.I make all of my projects for friends and charity so I do not have that problem.I also think that your location in the country can determine the price to can charge. If you would rather send me a PM I would appreciate your reply, thank you.

Bryan

Thank you martin and you geoff, now received.
Hi Bryan,
i dont mind at all, people(customers too) tell me i am too cheap, the cutting was 3 1/2 inch high x 6 inch long in 3/4 oak and i charged £12 for it, i sell loads of names and assorted stuff through FB and my cabinet at work.

I even cut pine shapes out for a chap that has a cnc router and a laser cutter but he cant cut what i can, i have just sent a box of 90 pieces to him and he will be sending for more stuff shortly.
I have just been given another for 60 reindeers by someone else too, so i need a good saw to cut it all..

Steve. Glad you got the horses okay. I thought I would mention after reading your reply to Bryan. You must be in the same boat as me now. I am working up to 16 hours a day just trying to keep up, its not just the craft fairs but orders I get from facebook and by other means as well. I cut 1000 hearts for a school a few months ago who teach kids with learning difficulties. They paint the hearts and put a design on them along with a ribbon and flog them to the local shops etc.

For the amount of work I do I have to have a good scroll saw and as you know I have the Hegner and also a Dewalt 788 as back up, not that I will ever need it. The quality of the Hegner is unsurpassed, there is nothing on the market that even comes close to it. The motor is an induction one and rated for continous use. I just cannot see it letting me down. In the course of a single day my Hegner can be running for a total of eight hours. If I was without a scroll saw through breakdown or whatever it would be a disaster, many customers would be let down. But I have faith in the Hegner that it will just keep going.

hi Geoff,
i have a full time job as a horticulturist and my scroll saw is my hobby turned second business, i only cut long hours on my days off, Wed thurs usually and occasional nights when needed, fortunately my log cabin has heating for when its cold.
I will be ordering the hegner in the morning and i will ask them about increasing the speed as you suggested as i (like you) cut thicker wood, cant wait.
