Hoover Bench Drill

I found someone selling bench drill

they say is a hoover

i guess just the motor maker, or was these specific ?

presumably the motor make, my multico morticer has a hoover motor. probably the only name they could find after it was dipped in red paint

i was hoping someone would recognise the shark fin on top

it is going fairly cheap , and i am getting desperate for an old bench \ pillar drill

As long as quill doesn't wobble too much, it should be ok. It looks robustly built, and most other faults can be fixed fairly easily.

it is a 2 hour drive each way

the owner does not have a clue and a model number is zero chance

it looks old to me , but could be a lemon..risk u take I know

I'm not sure but it looks like it could be a startrite they had the sharks fin up top with startrite vertically on the fin
