Hobbies?

I work for myself and have a wife and 4 children aged 7 - 16

Not a lot of time for hobbies!

In a former life though, I was a pretty good harmonica player in various blues bands around Manchester.

It was a great way of meeting women...

...which is why I don't get to do it any more!

At various times and in no particular order:
Homebrewing, gave that one up, far too much easily available booze, not good, aero-modleling, veggie growing, SIB (ships in bottles...not good for the lamps) long distance walking (30 miles  ) and Bonsai trees - Rob

Regarding the NEVER question I found this on a website

"Stop searching - this was "going the rounds" years ago and I can't remember the alleged name of the team but it was based on the fact that a player named Never scored. It was proved that there has NEVER been a player called NEVER who scored in an FA Cup Final."

Apparently it is an urban myth.

Regarding other hobbies, I work an allotment, am into oil painting, play snooker and caravan a bit. I was surprised no-one else has declared being into any other of the arts given that woodworking is a craft.

Another pub quiz question.

"What is the highest possible snooker break?"

Hi,

Whats the lowest total clearance in snooker?

Pete

!59 is highest total score. total clearance is 155 and even then the theoretical highest score is 162, 72 is lowest clearance.

Alan

Hi,

I thought the lowest clearance was less than that, you could pot all the red balls with one shot giving you 15 then the colours 29 giving you 44 total clearance its not likely but theoretically possible.

Pete

155 is the max possible highest break, starting with a free ball, black, then all the normal sequence of balls =1+7+147=155

72 is the lowest one break clearance; 15 reds each with a yellow, then 27 for the colours.

I have just re-read Pete Maddex reply and agree, but it would not be practicall y possible.

I would like to suggest that the lowest total score in snooker for a game is 31.

Highly improbable but what if I broke potted all the reds and the white. The other player would receive 4 points for the foul and then 27 for the remaining colours, making 31 in total?
