Help with oak ...... discolouration

Hi again

I hope this isn't too much of a cheek......I posted under "finishing" but wonder if I should have posted under turning instead....which it is anyway.

I think Chas has correctly suggested possible causes... Oak can be very reactive, useful quality if you need to change the colour but can be a pain otherwise :wink:
