Can anyone help ID this 5+1 combination machine. About all the info I have is that it says "Made in Italy" and reads "M 1R" on the side.

NB: I cannot get the link to work. Add dot jpg to one of the above urls to see the photos.

Still won't embed for some reason I'm missing, but I've saved you from the newbie spam trap.

I don't recognise the machine, sorry.

Sorry, I don't recognise it either but I'm hosting a copy of your file so I will show up. Maybe others can see it then.

Thanks guys. The left side is a small sliding table. I figured that the 'gear stick' motor/operation selection knob in the photo would be a dead giveaway for those in the know.

The "gearstick" thingy looks a bit like the Zinken Mia6, which was imported in the 70s and 80s, but I think that had alloy tables. Are there any identifying marks at all?

Hi grawil,

Welcome to the forum. :D

I have posted thumbnails of your 3 pictures, using the code offered by Imageshack, they are huge pictures.

I left them as large images so they could be zoomed in. Unfortunately, the seller didn't get a good shot of the name plate. I can only see that it was "Made in Italy." I'm guessing it is a Zinken, but it is just a guess. Unfortunately, there aren't too many images or manuals for Zinken machines online as they pre-date the world wide web. I did find a promising website at http://www.gammazinken.it/ but this proved to be little more than an Italian JET dealer ;)

It does look similar to the Zinken 21 in this thread.

Some references here

https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/view ... p?p=195421

but the picture link is broken and the author, Scrit, is no longer contributing to this forum.

Not much further forward I'm afraid.

Bob

but scrit can still be reached on the "otherside" (woodworkuk forum) I believe

BSM,

Afaik, Scrit has not posted in the other place since last August. This is about the same time as he stopped contributing here too.
I don't know why he has stopped posting. A great loss in my book.

Update, it is apparently an emco machine. Still waiting on the seller to send it's dimensions and a few more photos.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any more info on Emco combination machines that were made in Italy. Doesn't look like they are made anymore so I'm guessing parts will be impossible to find. I'm going to look at the machine this coming weekend.

I thought EMCO were an Austrian company, in fact still are, as far as i know. These people seem to look after older EMCO stuff as well as new machines.

How do you know it's an EMCO? I remember a strange looking EMCO Star universal but it doesn't look anything like yours.

At the risk of being boring ( who said that) why not ask the seller to read off the details of the logos so that we can see what they say followed by the details on the machines data plate about hp,speeds and electricity needs. These should include the manufacturer, serial number etc.

Or get a picture
