It's that time again at work and I am running a small quiz night, the good news is I only have to do 10 questions as two lovely lady's are doing the rest.
Just general questions but like has three answers to pick from.
last time you all did splendidly, I will say thanks in advance for your help.
Oh any idea's on that game when you have to guess what it is, book, play, film, and any suggestions as we have to do 3 of them.
Think it is called sherards but do not spell it like that.

"Charade's"

"Everything you wanted to know about sex, but were afraid to ask"
"Attack of the Killer Rabbits"

Quiz night
How many moons does Earth have orbiting it? (2 officially - according to Q.I.)

Ostriches cannot walk backwards True / False (true).

HTH :D

In Rossini's opera 'La donna del lago' in which country is the lake situated? A bonus point if you can name the actual lake and another one if you can name the author of the story on which the opera is based.

Scotland

Loch Katrine

Sir Walter Scott 'The lady of the lake'

Q. Who was the Captain, in command of the Titanic ?

A. Captain Edward John Smith.

Q. If you went to roll a dice, the odds of throwing a three are 1:6
The odds of throwing two 3's in a row are 1:36 ( 6x6 )
The odds of throwing three 3's in a row are 1: 216 ( 6x6x6 )
.. Assuming you successfully threw the three 3's in a row, what
would be the odds of throwing a fourth 3 ?

A 1:6
( nasty  )

HTH.. good luck with the quiz BTW

You probably don't want to know what my brother drew when playing Pictionary, the word he had was "Gaze"

If you want a sporting one, here's one I posed at a Cricket Club quiz!, and only one team got the answer!

His grandson played for England, his son was a stalwart for Worcestershire
and in his time he was regarded as the only viable opponent to Donald Bradman as the "World's Greatest Batman".

Who was he?

Let's see if any of you lot know the answer!

Excellent! Give that man a prize.

BTW: My Dad played against him when playing for the Navy early in the war and he definitely rated him as the best he'd ever seen.

Thanks for all the question have got all I need now, just one small problem that you maybe can help with.
7 tables, well names for the tables that is.
Now these ear people read lots of books so perhaps authors but that will be a bit boring.
We had light houses last time, any idea's.
Oh and mainly teams are all lady's and are very posh.
I am running the quiz this Thursday so not much time.
I don't mind what suggestions but if anyone can come up with some thing witty.
Bye Bye Reg
