Hi, I'm looking for some of those brass L-shaped things that you get on music rests, to hold the pages in place.
What they are called would be a start!

They are called Brass page holders, are you looking for plain wire ones or something with some detail in them

That looks to be a rip-off price to me!
Why not get a couple of solid brass large 'cup hooks', then re-bend them? Or, this being a woodworkers forum, make some from wood, as I have done for a book holder (lectern) I use when sat at a table reading.
Struck me the same, a few pence worth of brass rod threaded and bent :)

<cheapskateMe>Or buy some steel / brass wire on the 'stiff side' and bend it. V.careful drilling, works perfectly...
whatever they're called, they're useful </cheapsketMe>

I would usually agree, but there's a bit more to them than that- they have flattened and shaped ends, and I would have to make 16 of them, identical, in a woodwork shop with rudimentary metalworking equipment. My client has deep pockets and is happy to pay for quality.
