We use something very similar at work to clamp rubber hosing onto small plinth heater size radiators in caravans. (top right in image)

They provide a very tight seal that holds water. The dust extraction ones should provide plenty of grip. Might be a bit iffy where it crosses the wire in the tubing tho :?

I get tired of keep changing my extractor hoses with a screw driver

or can you recommend a over center type clip that fits well and easy

Yep i have used them in the past Blister and will be buying some more if i can't find them when i am ready as using a nut driver or screwdriver everytime i need to move it is toooooo much hassle.

Cheers

Dave

I changed all my clips for those and they work great, so quick and easy, get some !!!

Cheers, Paul :D

I have used the very same you have posted a link to, i brought 2 packs in total and there very useful. I could do with another one so will be getting a further pack.

They hold great with no noticeable air holes.

These hose clips look great. Does anyone know of anything on the same principal for changing / emptying dust extractor bags.I have the supplied metal band with a notched cam lever and changing it is the worst job I have. Anyone got a solution ? Giff

I know exactly what you mean, I hate changing the bags on the extractor. My second extractor which I bought last year from FOX is much better from an emptying point of view as it has a cloth dust collection bag and the strap is built into the bag. You just position the strap and the bag is automatically in the right place. Have thought of the same idea for my other extractor which uses the usual plastic collector bag. If I folded over the top and sealed it down with tape it would be much easier.

Not a eureka moment but has some merit me thinks. :p

I stick the bag on first with short pieces of duct tape.

If you stuff the plastic bag up into the extractor first then wrap the edges round the lip it holds itself up and the clips go on real easy, then just pull it down and your done
