Got a few orders placed this week and that has allowed me to get a new piece of kit. I'm building several Adirondack chairs so doing. Lot of cross cutting. So I treated myself to a new sliding mitre saw from b&q. They had a 10" scheppach down to £130 but I couldn't justify the added cost to swmbo!

Picked this up for £97. Feels solid and a 2 year warranty with it.

Is that a macallister?

Yeah -> http://www.diy.com/departments/mac-alli ... 707_BQ.prd

I remember mac-allister doing some really good tools a while back. But every time I have been to BQ and looked at their current range I've always thought they'd slipped a fair fit. They just look so cheap and flimsy. Not saying your saw is like that op! .. hope it works well for you :)

Yes it's a macallister. I know some of their tools in the last haven't been great but I'm really impressed with this. Doing a great some job so far
