I can forgive the use of power tools; not everyone has the energy to do it all by hand.
I was intrigued that he split a billet of wood (I presume that wasn't a favourite axe ...), which was dried out at one end, and had a quite big split down it. The took it to the pole lathe - and hey presto, it was roughed out in the blink of an eye !
When it came to the tricky bit that I'd like to see - drilling all those holes to line up nicely - the director chose to cut to ... a protracted shot of his his outdoor plug socket :roll:
I enjoyed this one more than Glass or Metal though, perhaps because I know enough about the processes to mind less about the bits skipped over.
