At one end of the firewood scale is the ready to burn (dried and split) stuff but many people are poor and to save money they buy it as logs and prepare it themselves. If they have a table saw it will be home made from box section (about 1m cube) and a metal plate for the surface. The motor is mounted underneath with the blade through a slot.
Usually, someone local will have some sort of machine for cutting up firewood and will offer his services around the villages. I have seen a full sized bandsaw integrated onto the chassis of a functioning motorbike/sidecar for this purpose!
