Well, if he made all of the workshop, and I’m pretty sure he did, he certainly does good work with the setup he has. I’d love to visit that workshop and spend a few days working in it. I felt like it was the workshop of someone with OCD, but fair play to him, I get he knows exactly where every, single thing is in there. =D>

It looks pretty grotesque but obviously a huge amount of work gone into it. I wonder if he has a cleaner come in once a week. I cant imagine how much all of them accessories cost. One thing I've learned is space is more important than tools. The floor lets it down :lol:

The video starts with a tour of the ‘office’ area, and the the ‘general’ area, which appears to be metal working and a large, open area. Also the ‘job site tools’ that have to be signed out. The office has a sign that indicates it is a construction company. I think that ‘construction’ in America can cover a variety of trades, so he may be specialising in something. He is based in Houston, Texas, which is one of the US’s mega-conurbations like LA or NYC, so lots of relatively rich clients.
From above I suspect that during the week has has several people working there, but he does all the woodturning and resin work at the weekend.
While the workshop certainly isn’t to my taste, I suspect it partly functions as a showroom for him.
He also notes at the start that one of his employees helps with organisation, tidying and cleaning “in his spare time”, I suspect it is actually at least half his job.
It is far beyond a ‘business workshop’ for him, clearly it is his passion, I suspect that he has put in thousands of additional hours, and spent getting towards 6 figures on it, although if a business some of that will be tax deductible.

The most impressive manufacturing setup I’ve ever seen had one of just about every type of machine made in the last 100-years, all immaculately maintained and neatly lined up. Next to a metal planer there was a pile of coffee cups sitting on a £300k laser welder, as if it was a table. Their material stock holding area would not have kept half the machines occupied for more than a couple of hours, as it turned out, whilst they could theoretically make anything, they actually didn’t, was good business for us, making their stuff for them.
