Afternoon all, am wanting to glue a book case together (using dowel) can anyone recommend a good strong soft wood glue?

Thanks!

anything really from Gorilla glue to the evostick waterproof out door glue. i always use out door glue as the central.
heating in houses vary so much.

Everbuild Glues are good. Their bottle ready to use interior & exterior glue is great and probably more what you are after. But for something even stronger, going as far as marine applications their Resintite glue (Cascamite) is brilliant, its a powder than requires mixing with water. The clean-up of cascamite is easy, a tub of hot water and a brush, cleans all excess off nicely! I usually wipe the whole item in the hot water to avoid any water stains appearing.

I'm with Cascamite. I've been using it for guitars for 30 years and always have a couple of big tubs. You can get them on eBay. Its waterproof and as said, easy to clean up.

My ONLY problem with it is that it seems to be affected by low temperatures. Mind you I am talking -2 and down!! The shop has been a bit chilly this year.

Titebond gets my vote

Me too - Original, II or III. I've found that the Original is fine for inside stuff and cheapest of the 3 (by quite a margin).

I cannot be bothered keeping lots of different types, apart from some Araldite & Superglue, so I use Titebond III - good for most things.
