Going to a Club tonight

Hi

I am going to the Fairlop wood turners club tonight

Hope it good ,

Spoke to a club committee member who asked me to come along to see what goes on , and they are willing to give advice

So it looks good :lol:

Had a good time

The Club has 17 members and has been running for 2 years

Lots of interesting experienced people and Yes I was given advice

All very helpful

I bought myself a lathe today. Managed to get some wood thrown it... but no tools. By the time I get it put back together and find something to make a cut I might be ready for some help later this month.

I had a search for woodturning clubs and the Fairlop one is quite near me.

he he glad I asked about the junior bit

I can do daytime but a bit too far ahead should SWMBO have other plans. Will make contact nearer the time if I'm going on the 14th.

I wish there was a turner's club in the Salisbury area . I have made enquires but the closest one is in Bristol, which is a bit of a hike and there may be one in Southampton somewhere but that's still a long way to go - Rob
