Guessing the council don’t provide free replacements for damaged bins where I live either as during our evening pooch stroll we come across 3 with obvious repairs of varying quality with the tidiest being stitched with cable ties and the worst being wrapped in what looks like a foot wide roll of sellotape 😳
 
Our bins aren't free to be replaced here either..
A real pain, as unless you put it out just before the truck arrives, and take it back in just as they leave- there's a good chance of it not being there when you go back out...

Its close to a hundred bucks for a new replacement through council (ripoff) so there's a certain sort that when theirs breaks, will 'cruise' looking for a 'replacement' to grab and take...

As a result, many of us spraypaint our address on the bin- council doesn't like that, and has 'tried' in the past to fine people for 'defacing council property'- um- if I had to pay for it, it's bloody mine!!!!
