I empathise completely, and I hope you don't lose too much of your machinery and tools. I am fortunate in that I live 560 feet above sea-level. Although my street became a river the other day. The water was lapping at the bottom of my drive, but as I live on the 'higher' side of the street, that's as far as it ever has encroached in 40 years of living here.
I don't blame global warming. I blame the amount of building at the top of the hill, where they felled hundreds of mature trees from what was once beautiful parkland; that and negative drain cleaning, that the Council used to do every four weeks.
