Is it full because I've got a mattress to get rid of...

. I haven't it's a lie, but skips always have mattresses in them, perhaps having one is a requirement for removal?

.

You only have to ask. I always find that a skip is a way of getting to know your neighbours better :D

If it's got a company name on it like "Property of SoandSo Skips" I would just drag it out onto the road (Without blocking the road with it too much) and when the police come around after somebody has complained about the skip, just say "Oh it belongs to SoandSo, Nothing to do with me". Then the police will harass SoandSo to pick up their skip.

You'd be amazed how much you can get away with by pleading ignorance.

Even if you could find something capable of dragging a fully loaded skip ,it would destroy your driveway and the road as you try to drag it around and your local council will put you on the naughty list :ho2

So long as it isn't a 16 yard skip filled to the top with compacted hardcore a van shifts them pretty easy on tarmac. Gravel or soil might be a different story.

You'd be surprised how little trace they leave after they've been dragged around, might leave a little scraping marks but that's about it.

Most importantly... Plead Ignorance!
