Hi,

I posted some time ago, about spraying a piece of furniture and was told that I should use morells. As I don't need a lot of paint and I only have a single piece I don't want to spend out the money and was hoping I could use the water based eggshell that I had to buy for the house.

I have read the literature and can see that you can spray it, but my concern is that it will be quite a dull finish and I was wondering whether I could spray and then laquer so as to give the finish more of a shine ?

Any pointers / experience weclomed.

Thanks

Try spraying a test piece and then burnish it with 0000 wire wool. This should give you a nice sheen which can be further enhanced with a good wax polish, if required.
