Hi to all from a new member located in NZ. I hope this is the correct area to post an introduction.
I'm a recently retired engineer and have been a hobby woodworker for about 20 years but now (particularly with the current lock-down) I can spend all my spare time in the shed.
Originally from the UK (a Geordie), I brought my family to NZ in 1986.
Toolwise, I have a relatively small workshop with a self-built bench, a compound mitre saw, band saw, Triton 001 mounted in a table, thicknesser and pillar drill plus a selection of hand power tools. I tend to use the power tools only to prepare stock and after that switch to hand tools.
I look forward to sharing and learning from the forum and will post some photos of recent projects when able.
Cheers, Pete

Welcome Pete from from another Geordie, well from Northumberland really.
I've been to NZ a couple of times and loved it especially the sense of humour.
Stay safe
Bob

...Welcome, Pete. Are you saying "fush and chups" yet?
Ignore the hecklers Pete. Welcome from the other end of the Hutt - Petone.....

Heckling? No, no, we save that for the bloody Aussies. We're glad you mangle your vowels the way you do, as it makes differentiation much easier. I mean, who'd want to be confused with an Aussie, hey? ;)
