GCSE blood sweat and tears!!! (Pics)

Hello all, I havn't posted on here in ages so I hope you are all well.

These are pics of my GCSE classes work, I am really pleased with all of them, they have worked hard to get this lot finished.

Only two kids havn't finished yet, due to being lazy!!!!! We still have some time in the bag :roll:

There is a real range of work here but I thought it was only fair to show you it all, not just the best stuff.

Some nice stuff there, I made a small box for some of my small fishing stuff at school when I was about 13. I'll try and get a pic. I still use it today.

The guitar looks good. Can I ask where the parts came from? I've always thought it would be an interesting thing to make. I was thinking more of an acoustic but now I've seen that I might have a go at both.

The bike looks good too.

I have bought one myself from ebay to have ago, £55 including postage, bargain

I love the ideas in this one. Stands out design wise. Not seen anything like it. Get the making skills right and it's a winner. Boy or girl? I'm guessing girl.

It is a unusual looking thing I grant you that. He was making it up as he went along, I am 100% sure about that.
However he enjoyed himself and has somthing to put in the loft in a few years time.

On the girl boy point, the three j boxes are the three girls in the group.

The guitar body is rippled sycamore.
I should have taken a pic of the back as well the ripples look great

Absolutely awesome - I did graphics / D&T GCSE about 12 years ago, and I can't even remember if I made anything at all - what subject is it? Straight woodworking?

Excellent stuff though - keep up the good work.

We are doing GCSE Product Design and to be honest you don't have to go this far with the making project.
The thing is the kids love it, they learn some skills and get somthing proper to take home.

Excellent. I was really disappointed to return to my secondary school last year to find that the woodwork shop had been replaced with an IT lab. Don't get me wrong, I love IT, but there should always be room to learn practical construction skills rather than sitting in front of a screen all day.
