I've only bought a few bits from these guys and don't know a lot about them (other than that they are a local supplier of woodworking machinery to the trade in Northern Ireland and are not a mail order based business per se) - but they seem to carry a fairly decent stock of Freud blades and will supply mail order:
http://mjwoodworking.co.uk/tooling/sawb ... ed-sheets/ They might at least be worth a look.
In the broader sense (and from some distance) I get the impression that Freud in the UK are probably mostly focused on industrial and commercial users, and that as a result they maybe don't figure very highly from the more hobby oriented sources that have a high profile on the web.
Maybe a call to Freud UK would extract some information on their suppliers.
http://www.freudtooling.co.uk/catalog/ There's a network of smaller tooling suppliers and sharpening outfits over here that stock all sorts of blades - including some very good German made stuff that most of us would not recognise the name of - but there's no chance that they will be on the web, or at least not in a way that will come up on a search.
Chances are there's quite a few of these sorts of businesses in the UK as well.
Commercial/industrial users of blades don't seem to much rely on branding - at least not in the way the DIY market (made up of many very inexperienced low budget users) does.
The fact is that many of the brands doing the industrial quality items also offer cheapo/cut to the bone quality lines too - so as you mostly know you have to get more specific than just the brand if you want a given quality of blade.
My impression is that blades are much more of a price/function viewed commodity item for the commercial users. They will most likely be handed a trial blade by a sales guy - and if it performs and the price is right will probably go for it until something better rocks up.
The result is probably that a big flashy web presence isn't going to deliver much of a return for the sort of local industrial blade supplier mentioned above. But they are about....
