Good news for all "armchair woodworkers" - and anyone else who does not yet know all there is to know about woodworking!

There are now six new episodes from Roy Underhill's ever popular and entertaining take on hand tool methods, available to watch.

Subjects covered include saw sharpening; bead mouldings; carving and making a desk. I've not watched them yet, but thought I would share the info as soon as I found it.

Do be careful which site you go to to find these. There are two different sites for the Woodwright's shop and they are generally a bit muddled and not in step with each other. Previous seasons have suffered from bad links with some captions being wrong.

So use this link: http://video.pbs.org/program/woodwrights-shop/episodes/

NOT this onehttp://www.pbs.org/woodwrightsshop/index.html which redirects here for what it calls the 'current season' (actually the previous season) http://www.pbs.org/woodwrightsshop/video/3200/index.html

The new programmes are from season 33; I expect when they are all up online there will be a listing of them on that site too. (A full season is 13 episodes.)

Hi All Has anyone managed to view these new episodes of woodwrights shop ? Nothing seems to happen when I try and I can't even view ones that I have viewed in the past. Any help gratefully recieved.
Cheers----------Arnold

The videos work fine for me - maybe it's a flash problem?

The good news is that they have fixed the problem where the Swinging Saw Vice episode led to a duplicate of the cheese sawing sketch, and part one of Peter Follansbee and his chest is now available.

Keep checking back, there are still some more to come.
