imo the pass round is a good thing both for you as it encourages readership and people are more likely to buy after they've seen one , and also good for the environment

By the way I had a fascinating interview with Tom Lie-Nielsen this evening. He's coming over for the Talking Tools event in Oxford in February and watch out for what he has to say in the next issue of British Woodworking, out at the end of January.

ive just subscribed to both BW and LW via the freshwood website (having given up on our newsagent after months of trying to get him to get them) - am i right in thinking that they come on alternate months ?

You are right, Big Soft Moose. British Woodworking is out next, at the end of January.

I just noticed your sub coming in. There is sometimes a bit of a delay before a sub is active. As a result I think you may have missed the cut-off deadline for the next issue of British Woodworking, which I'm finishing off as we speak. Email me if you'd like a copy of that issue and I'll get your sub adjusted.

If there's anything anyone would like me to force into the next issue of British Woodworking as a challenge then send in your ideas now!!!! I don't think I'll have time to make a Davenport nor test every planer-thicknesser in the market, but go on set me a challenge to do in a couple of days!!!!!

a review of the new quasheng (sp ?) planes, (imported by workshop heaven) particularly the no.6 , would be right handy

That's too easy, Pete. We've got them in already (except that we've only got the block plane and the spokeshave at the moment)!!! A mate of mine who owns a L-N block plane is comparing the two.

thats no good to me - i already own several block planes and spokeshaves - i just don't have a number 6 yet :lol:

a test i'd like to see in future issues (possibly more LW than BW) would be chainsaw mills.
