I use a Record RSDE 1. Good machine but fills up fast now that I've got a Hammer p/t!

I have noticed some cheap Vax wet and dry vacuum cleaners on Ebay recently and I got to wondering whether these type of vacuums would be any use in the workshop. In particular would one be suitable for use with my table saw. Anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Record dx600i (or is that 800i - I can't remember)
+ home made air filter
+ dust pan & brush
+ P3 Grade respirator when it gets tough!!!!

Scheppach HA2600
Festool CT22 (probably my most used tool!)
Jet (Axminster sourced) CT510 overhead
Dustpan, brush and broom

New addition: Festool CT MIDI

along with the old RSDE2 for the bandsaw and P/T.

sip dust/chip collector, Cant remember any model number but it usually sells for about £110 delivered. It's cheap but it delivers the goods. I also use an old Vax with no bag in it, just a filter, it works a treat with small hand tools. When swmbo aint looking I sometimes use her little Henry for odd jobs, and for the price it puts dedicated vacuums in the shade.

Custom-built extraction system by Duscovent serving main machines

2 bag extractor by Xcalibar for speed sander - great value for money

Festool vacuum for RO sander - absolutely superb!

SIP chip collector for P/T and TS

Record RSDE1 for router table

Performance Power Dust Extractor for band saw & sander.

Also, I have a Microclene mounted on the ceiling.

Use a SIP dust extractor, and have just taken delivery of a load of hose and fittings from Axminster to route it to all my tools.

Also use Henry vac with no bag for general use and hand power tools, excellent.

Dustpan, brush and broom.

Started with broom.

Bought myself a "cyclone-type" vacuum cleaner - cheap and nasty.

Then I bought a small Clearvue cyclone and coupled my 32mm and 50mm hose. Wow

.

SO now I use the vacuum cleaner attachments on the end of the 32mm hose so my floor is even vacuumed!

I now want to place a "chip bucket" in front of the Clearvue cyclone so the cyclone only needs to manage the dust aspects only.

Cheers.

Proud owner of the original Burgess cyclone protoype as made by the man himself.

I've made a few minor modifications and will be happy to provide email support to anyone want to make one to this design.
