We lost a good friend recently, Bill, who was a genius with his hands and @Sideways and I have been asked to dispose of his workshop contents by his family.
He was a cabinet maker for most of his life winning awards for his designs. He was also an apprenticed engineer and made engines and other things steam engine stuff. He generously gave his time to help @Sideways and I on numerous occasions with metalworking stuff.
Bill bought this drill a few years back, took it apart and rebuilt the head ensuring everything worked correctly. It’s 3 phase but comes with a static converter so can be plugged in from a domestic plug. The phase converter can run other 3 phase machines, he used to power up a metalworking lathe with it at one point too.
The table on the drill is always , and he filled the surface to make it good again.
These are super drills capable of drilling big holes in anything. It will out last your grandkids!!
The family are looking for £1000 for everything, but if you just want the drill we are happy to spilt. Sorry about the photos, his workshop isn’t the best for taking photos. The drill is based near Northwich, Cheshire
