It's at the finishing stage, so shouldn't be too much longer, just waiting for work to calm down a bit so I can lacquer and polish it.
I'll attempt to make a recording when it's finished, although I'm a better wood worker than I am bass player!

Hey everyone. I don't frequent this site much anymore but I thought I should update this old thread. Nearly 3 years after starting this I've just finished it. It got shelved for a good while, life got in the way as it does, a workshop move, house renovation and my twin girls were born, putting a stop to extra-curricular activities for a while, but here it is for anyone still out there in ukworkshopland.
