Had fun matching the stain I was aiming for on this, ended up mixing up 3 stains to get the right colour. Finished with Acrylic lacquer and Black Bison wax.

Had some design changes regarding the crown moulding etc as you can see.

Second time using the blum system, managed to install it in no-time at all with perfect alignment so I was well chuffed with that as took me a long time to figure it all out the first time.

This went into the first house on a big estate of houses so hopefully some repeat orders from the neighbours. I'll admit the top moulding/back moulding is a bit funny but did what I was asked!

Looks a nice job Chems. Certainly an unusual build with the shape. That bottom hinge in the drawer frame looks like it was a tricky one mate. How long did it take you to complete?

I'm a fan of pine, love working with the stuff, smell etc...

Nice wardrobe, but looking at it why didn't you make the base the same height as the skirting or even slightly higher to cut round for a nicer fit? Also, I would've gone for plain side panels.

Cheers

That was the original plan but it didn't end up like that. Never thought about the skirting, was really just trying to gain maximum space in the wardrobes by having a lower floor.

Took me about a week and a half maliee.

Nicely done, James - you're getting good at this, now!

How did you apply the stain? It looks to be quite even and very tidy, for pine.

You say you had to stain this one to match another piece - erm, where is it??? All I see are the white walls! :D

Thanks all, one of the stains in the mix was a spirit stain from axminster, that got really good penetration over water based. And the face that I had to administer coats by hand with brush to get the right colour resulted in the deep finish. No spray used on the colour but the lacquer coat was sprayed on.

The other piece was the bed, but I didn't make that it was just a generic piece.

Sim, thanks, sorry for not getting back to your PM, its on my list of things to do!
