I believe that if you changed your stairs during the time you owned your house you would would be expected to declare it to your purchaser when you sell the house.

Not completely sure though....

Yes Mike.. I fully concur, but as I said, I don't have the problem. My stairs are in the fabric of the house, and the only mod I am likely to make, whether I sell or not, is to fit a stair-lift!

I think I would have to 'put my house in order' though to get one of those 'HIPs' Do you think the Government would refund my survey fee from when I bought the house? :lol: :lol: :lol:
