Well decided to use photobucket in the end so here are my first and second attempt at scrolling the dog I had to design from a photo

Those are smashing :) . I think you've done a lovely job with the owl and the moon in particular, cutting such smooth curves. In fact, I've seen projects published in magazines which aren't as good as that.

If I was to quibble, I think the dog's face would have been a little more beguiling if there had been more detail on the eyes, rather than two empty sockets. But that's just quibbling over a minor detail; eyes are notoriously difficult to get right, even for experts. Overall, it doesn't detract from what is an excellent piece which I'd be proud to hang on my own wall.
