Finishing finish with gorge marks

I do get me chisels stuck on parts of the tool rest some times.

Get a file and drawfile the toolrest,then possibly a rub with some emery tape or wet-and-dry paper - can't move the chisel smoothly if the toolrest has nicks in it.

Worth doing to remove any paint on the edge of the toolrest as well as any nicks as paint will prevent the tool moving smoothly along the rest.
