I was asked by a relative to make a golf trophy base.
Given a free hand in design & materials. (Had to be wood though).
This is the result.
Made from three pieces of white Ash, and two pieces of English Walnut.
It is to presented by the Chairman of the club, so there had to a place for past, present and future chairman's names.
That is the inset just below the top, (As they change roughly every 10 years there should be enough room).
There is room for 40-41 shields around the Walnut layers, and as this is a annual competition I'll not need to be concerned when they run out of room.
