I posted a thread last week about problems I was having setting up my UJK compact router table from Axy and my Makita router. I needed a router with a fine height adjuster and bought the Makita RP1110C but what I did not realise was that when the router was upside down and fitted to the table the fine height adjuster became useless. I over came this problem by using a scissor jack and having had a few days using the set up its works brilliantly.
I then had a friend come over and he also came up with a brilliant idea and I thought I would pass it on as it may be useful to a few people. My friend has a mate who is an engineer and he sugested taking the heads off the 3 bolts in the turret, drilling into the base of the post that comes into contact with the turret, threading it the same as the bolts and hey presto you have a very efficient height adjuster. I thought it would be of benifit to those who don't have a fine height adjuster on their routers.
