Hi

Can anyone recommend a good quality disposable face mask for sanding and general use that conforms to current EN regulations?

Why disposable?

I've just bought a Trend Airace which uses disposable inserts. Cost £30 with two filters, and works very well (although you do look a bit of a muppet with it on!).

Cheers

Hi

yes I have one of those which I use on the table saw and bandsaw. I was looking for something which I can use when hand sanding that I can take on an off easily.

Arco do umpteen types of disposable regulators and masks. Just pick one that suits your required protection level and pocket.

Yep - me too. I find the disposables leak around the bridge of my nose and the exhaled air fogs my glasses - just what you need when doing something intricate on the router table. The AirAce directs exhaled air downwards thru a valve in the base of the mask leaving your glasses crystal clear so that you can see your ****-ups as they are created in stunning 20:20 3D vision!

P2 masks from Axminster work fine apart from the crappy laccy band that holds the thing in place...tends to break after a while :x - Rob

soon to be seen in silence of the lambs IIII, coming to a cinema near you!!!

Wickes P2 masks are pretty good too - cost about a tenner. And there's always the Abranet hand-sanding starter kit for £20-odd ;)
