I too went from the Hitachi C7U up to the Festool TS55, vac, etc etc.
Bought it months ago but still not used it fully.
I had two of the Hitachi C7Us I like the cast base instead of the pressed steel on many other saws. Only problem with the cast bases as I have found they don't like falling off saw benches I have broken two saws now and the bases are too expensive to replace.
I have bought a Makita 5703rk for everyday use now and I think it beats the hitachi hands down. I think it helps that the blade seems thinner so it cuts thru quicker.
