In the thread about my (no longer) mysterious scratchstock, I mentioned that I didn't have a Tilgear catalogue.

Well, for people who don't have a website, they're pretty net-aware and observant.

This Saturday, their 2006/2007 catalogue dropped through my door, and I hadn't even ordered one, or given them my address!

So - hats off to Tilgear!! |(*)

Sorry, yer lordship, overlooked this - yeah, t'was me wot dunnit. Amazingly ordering via Tilgear's new email address works very well and was a matter of moments to add in a catalogue request. That's going to cost me money I fear. The email, not the catalogue request. #-o

I missed that one, Alf - how does it work? Do you send the email and then call with card details?

Sounds very handy - when I call up it takes them ages to thumb through the catalogue to find out what I'm on about, which is a bit expensive when the call is international...

Cheers,
Neil

Well I split my card details up between two emails and asked terribly politely if they'd let me know that it had got through successfully - better than that, they came back with a delivery estimate the same day. I was fearing a check-it-once-a-month-when-we-remember sort of thing, but all credit to them. (ordersATtilgearDOTukDOTcom for the curious and catalogueless)

Thanks Alf :). Its certainly progress, although I won't hold my breath for the website...

Oh I dunno. If they get lots of business via the email address that may well alter their attitude - after all they've deemed it worthwhile getting a domain name. I live in hope that we may yet have another site to contribute to our slippage rate. :D
