Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for competitive woodturning club equipment insurance please. We have public liability insurance, of course, but we need some insurance to cover our equipment, tools and various other bits 'n' bobs. Any recommendations? (btw, the club isn't affiliated to the AWGB).

Many thanks

Hi turningman.

You may find it almost impossible to get a reasonable quote for cover on club tooling.

According to the guy who runs our club, the security requirements are so strict, that he told us it just wasn't economically sound to try and insure our equipment.

I have found that this guy Ian Wallace is very helpful with anything to do with craft insurance, so it may be worth giving him a call.

Thanks Tam. Our public liability insurance is arranged through Ian Wallace and I've already spoken with him about our equipment insurance. However, I just wanted to try two or three just to make sure that I'm getting the best deal for the club. Trouble is I don't know who else to go to.

Thanks for replying.
